Safeguarding your children

Keeping children safe – a priority at Gospel Kids Club

Gospel Kids Club (GKC) is dedicated to providing a safe, secure and friendly environment for our children and young people to learn in. We are committed to providing training in the performing arts in a safe and protected environment. A vital part of the GKC Child Health and Safety procedure is that each workshop is run by a Principal or Workshop Manager, whose role is to supervise rather than teach. This ensures that while tuition and teaching is delivered by our specialist teachers, the Principal or Workshop Manager is free to observe the workshop.

GKC requires all staff, including workshop managers, teachers and assistants to apply for enhanced clearance via the DBS - Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly CRB) and this structure is often used as an example of Best Practice where Child Protection issues are concerned. We have a duty of care to safeguard all children involved in GKC activities from harm. All children have a right to protection and the needs of disabled children and others who may be particularly vulnerable will always be taken into account. GKC will always ensure the safety and protection of all children involved at any of our workshops, schools, events and/or productions.

Parents can be confident that the health and safety of your child/children will always be our number one priority.
